Description
The Montreal Expos (French: Les Expos de Montréal) was a baseball team located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada from 1969 until 2004. After the 2004 season, the franchise was relocated by their owners to Washington, D.C. and became the Nationals. The team retained a portion of the Exposâ records, player contracts, and minor league affiliates, as well as their spring training complex in Viera, Florida. The Exposâ logo was one of the more unique in baseball history, featuring a stylized âMâ for Montreal, also forming a red âeâ for Expos, and a blue âbâ for baseball, coming together as âMontreal Expos Baseballâ though itâs often said to read âelbâ as and stand for âExpos League Baseballâ which despite its popularity, is incorrect.
